Although However
Although,
I am
the byproduct of empirical ignorance
a victim of domestic violence and verbal abuse
the son of a father who was somewhere else
son to a mother whose demon was mental illness
brother to a sister possessed by the same demon
him whose baby sister’s life was taken by HIV/AIDS
related to a half-sister more evil than Darth Vader
However,
I am
now the byproduct of acquired intelligence
a man of unfettered knowledge hewed from books
full of virtue governed by uncompromising principles
that faithful husband to the same wife
the father of graduate level university students
a poet whose voice is likened to O.T. prophets
in the world a man most unremarkable

I cannot speak for my poetry, my poetry must speak for itself.
