You Yanks
I have never seen so many Yanks fearful. I have seen flocks of geese take to flight from a moment’s fright. Today’s Yanks' abandonment of courage is an insult to the bravery of the WWII Band of Brothers. Those men in Easy Company would be appalled at the Yanks who cut and run. The band must play on. And yes, the soil undergirding democracy is shaking and shifting beneath our feet. Have you forgotten the bedrock upon which our republic stands, forgetting the flag of our forefathers waving high in every state capitol? Yanks, where is your native will to stand and peacefully demand your rights? Nations are watching. Let us Yanks be seduced by the whispering refrain of the French, "Long live the republic."

I cannot speak for my poetry, my poetry must speak for itself.
