…read the young poets who speak life

and existentialism the way budding seedlings

protrude from literary soil yearning daylight

as if human hands extending upward

for a place in the world given their hue

likens to multicolored blossoms twice born

as prose leading somewhere when most often

nowhere for the sake of being…
