Mrs. Alito
I stand alone
Singularly
Erect as any daylong
With flag flown upright
Never in duress
Waving in the wind
Draped where windless
During war
Abroad and offshore
When peaceful
In the midst of division
Never touching ground
Never upside down
I stand alone
Singularly
Erect as any daylong
Never in duress
Mrs. Alito

I cannot speak for my poetry, my poetry must speak for itself.
